The most popular maile box style is RETF (Roll End Tuck Front), a tray-style box with a lid that tucks into the front. There is no glue or tape required to assemble an RETF and just a strip of tape or a label to keep the lid closed in shipping.
Another thriving style is the tear-strip mailer box. It has a perforated strip that can be pulled to help with a clean, easy opening, which is essential for E-Commerce to build a good opening experience.

Simple sustainability
Complying with the recycled properties of corrugated inserts, It’s a good option for your mailer box to use craft outsides. These designs will strengthen a lasting impression of sustainability on your customers. Enjoy cost savings by using recycled packaging while still maintaining a trendy, attractive look.
Stylish printing
When your mailer boxes need to arrive in style, colorful printing is a good choice. These designs use bright colors and are often identified by spacing certain images (adorable icons or illustrated doodles). This is also popular for eCommerce brands as it has a prominent branding and messaging surface.
A corrugated board has two parts: the linerboard (the flat, outer covering) and the flute (the s-shaped, wavy paper between the linerboard). The flute enables corrugated boards to resist bending and allows the boxes made from them to withstand pressure. There are four mainliners for you to choose from:
The fute gives the must durability and extra cushioning. Most mailer boxes use single-wall boards such as B flutes or E flutes. The following are the most common types of flutes you’ll see in custom mailer boxes:
B flute (2.5mm-3.0mm thick)
Most common flute. Resists crushing. Good stacking strength. Good for folding and printing, and therefore, good for bespoke size presentation style boxes. Lower price vs C or E flute.
E flute (1.1mm-1.4mm thick)
Strong crush resistance. Excellent surface for printing. Excellent for folding. Becoming more popular in eCommerce mailer boxes especially small size box.
C flute (3.5mm-4.0mm thick)
Provides good cushioning and strong enough for medium weight boxes. An effective surface for printing, though slightly less so than B flute.
If you're looking for a mixture of strength and printability, Mailer boxes are the best option. Not only are they durable and stylish to wear, but they are also fully customizable. It provides a great way to promote your brand and create the ultimate unboxing experience for your customers.
With outstanding surfaces, mailer boxes are excellent for printing and branding. Water-based coatings can be directly used for simple printing on corrugated boards. However, offset printing is more widely used, with mounting a surface paper on a mailer box to get more remarkable branding. Sometimes, ancient silk screen printing is used in custom mailing boxes with simple colors.
